A guided tour of one of America’s finest Bed and Breakfasts;
The Stegmaier Mansion.
My guide Joe Matteo, owner, master craftsman and Victorian visionary
has personally restored this circa 1870 High Victorian jewel into the most incredible B&B.
Home to Charles Stegmaier, founder of the Stegmaier Brewery.
The mansion was built in 1873 to the most extravagant standards. No 19th century flourish was left out!
Unlike other lodgings, The Stegmaier Mansion is not just a restored old house.
This “palace” is completely filled with ALL the amenities one would expect in a 19th century home of opulence.
Truly a most romantic get away!
Every wall is completely covered with period and family antiques, rare photographs and fine art.
A total Victorian emersion experience with fine dinning, catering and even a professional Chocolatier on staff.
Frequent guest and lecturerer Lisa Lewis, The Victoriana Lady oftens gives her famous antique Victorian fashion show at The Stegmaier Mansion to many a patron's delight.
I truly felt like royalty. Located in the famed historic district of Wilkes-Barre Pa.
